Telynau Teifi, The Harp Centre of Wales, is proud to be involved with the very first Summer Harp Festival here at the National Botanic Garden of Wales. Harps are very important to Wales - musical heritage is deeply and passionately woven into our culture, and the harp is undoubtedly our national instrument. We are proud of our Welsh-made instruments, and our harps speak for themselves. They have a truly distinctive sound - huge, rich and warm, with a clear, ringing treble. Harpists are delighted with the responsiveness of the instrument, and the clarity and depth of sound that can be achieved with our harps. We want harp enthusiasts everywhere to benefit from our unique skills of combining traditional techniques with innovation and vision in the exciting quest for the perfect harp – and of course, as a thriving manufacturer it is our desire to ensure that harp-making skills are kept alive, and actually thrive, in Wales - the home of the harp.
