Come and take part in the best orchestra of all, one just full of harpists!
Harpists of all ages and abilities are invited to join forces to play together in a giant ensemble of music composed and arranged especially for the Summber Harp Festival at National Botanic Garden of Wales by Meinir Heulyn. A suite of music with a flower theme running through will be rehearsed over the two days and performed in the Great Glass House in the Afternoon of the Bank Holiday Monday. An exciting and unique experience for all!
Meinir Heulyn is one of Wales' most versatile harpists. Principal harp with the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera for thirty years, currently co-ordinator of the harp department and professor at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff, and is recognised as one of Wales' most experienced harp teachers.
Rehearsals will take place on Sunday and Monday afternoon finish with a performance in the closing concert of the festival on Monday at 5pm along with a performance from Clarie Jones and her Duo C2 sponsored by Salvi harps.
